If you think it’s a poem, it’s a poem.
If you believe you can do it, just show ’em.

And if you see someone else tryin’ to make it,
do not, do not, try to take it.

Taking it and making it your own
is not how they get to run their own show.

Every creative being wants to make their own art.
You don’t have to spend so much time trying to convince ’em you’re smart.

And if you see someone else trying to make it…

Wish them luck on their journey.
Their victory is not your defeat.
If they fall, help them get back on their feet.

So we can stand together.
Create together.

Live in harmony
Forever.

Food For Thought

A library isn’t just a place you go to read; it’s a place you go to be.
To seek seeds that will grow to become trees.

In this place, you can banish your boredom by scouring the shelves.
It doesn’t matter if you examine ethical essays or explore the world of elves;
These authors had the bravery to share themselves.

We honor them
By reading them,
Sharing them,
And teaching them.

Maybe in some way
we are reaching them.

This city needs my voice, my work, and my art!
Intense– right? Well, it’s a start.

I’m white and I have privilege. That’s true.
And those are tools I plan to use cuz there’s a fuck ton of work to do.
